LifeRing Focus Meetings bring together specific communities of individuals with commonalities. In these meetings, you can explore your personal recovery journey with participants who share similar journeys.
The meeting follows a How Was Your Week? format. Participants have the opportunity to reflect on the past week’s events and how these events have impacted their recovery journey. Positive, supportive crosstalk is welcome.
LifeRing Secular Recovery is a free, abstinence-based network of substance use recovery resources designed to build supportive connections between peers within positive environments that suit their individual needs.
LifeRing follows a 3-S philosophy: Sobriety, Secularity, and Self-Empowerment. LifeRing participants come together to connect with other peers in recovery We offer a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can express yourself and explore your support objectives. We treat everyone with respect, and everything shared is confidential. Specific audiences: ALD | SUD Medical Patients
This is a LifeRing focus meeting for people in recovery with SUD-related medical conditions. Participation may be limited depending on the meeting audience:
- The Liver Spot is an open community for people at any stage of their SUD-related medical journey.
- Post-Transplant Liver Spot is an exclusive meeting for all transplant recipients. This unique meeting offers specialized support for liver recipients wanting to connect with others who understand the intricacies of life post-transplant.
This meeting is exclusively for post-liver transplant individuals.

Post-Transplant Liver Spot
Michael has experienced the extremes of the liver transplant process, from the agony of being denied by one hospital to the thrill of being accepted by another.
He received a deceased donor liver at UCSF on July 3, 2022.
The Post-Transplant Liver Spot chronicles the recovery journey patients experience after this life-saving surgery.
